We had an early start this morning, lucky we packed last night in the end as we slept in a little bit. Bags to coach was by 7:30am and we made it easily even though we only got up at 6:50.
We drove for about 2 hours before stopping at a rest stop for half an hour at a place called St Lucia. Nothing much here, just a Dunkin Doughnuts etc.
We jumped back on the coach for another 2hours (Christina had put the end of Pirates of the Caribbean on for us for entertainment.
We then stopped for an hour at Dolphin Plaza Miami, for lunch. We rushed lunch and managed to get some shopping in too. Scored another pair of Havaianas for $11.. haha
We jumped back on the bus foor abut 45minutes before reaching the Everglades National Park.
We had a 2hr tram tour of the park. It was stinking hot and definitely something i wouldnt do again. Halfway through the tour we stopped and the guide told us to get out and get in the water (which, by the way has alligators and snakes in it!!). But we did it anyway.
After the tour
we made our way to our hotel in Miami.
Such a nice hotel. We had about 2 hours to get ready to head out for a Saturday night in Miami.
We had dinner at a little Italian place, shared a pizza with the girls, $5each, bargain.
We headed then to a club called the Cleavelander Hotel where we had the rooftop reserved for Contiki. Then made our way to another one called Mango. This was like a salsa club. Good times but sooner rather then later the shoes (and still the knee) got the better of me and some of us decided to head back to the hotel.
Got to bed by about 4am.
