Faber Farewell at Old Town

The time has arrived. The call is out from the Northern hills: Come home......Come home......so the navigation has begun. First, the Faber family and Chandler. They flew out of the Orlando airport at 7:00 AM this morning. Safe travels, dear family. We miss you already. Our last day together was spent at a festive and nearby spot: Old Town. Yesterday, we all walked up to this carnivalesque hub of activity to Flippers, a pizzeria. Here we sat on their deck enjoying the food but more so, the company of each other. Where did the time go? That old saying rings true: "How fast time flies when you are having a good time". The Knapp family departs on Tuesday. With much more energy and ambition than us, they have headed off today to one more park: Disney's Hollywood Studios. The stumps I call legs begged for a rest so we didn't go. They can go and see more by themselves without me bringing up the back. My legs said "thank you". We will meet up with them later when they get back. On this past Friday, they had to move out of our timeshare at Cypress Harbour (it can be used on a weekly basis). They moved to a similar place called Liki Tiki Village but after one night, decided they didn't like the place and moved to another. This new place is closer to Cypress Harbour and much better. They are content and will enjoy it until Tuesday. Cory and I continue to pack and try to find a spot for all our belongings. It is a definite challenge. We try not to gather too much stuff over this winter's respite but our wish and want sometimes gets the better of us. Thus, we are trying to haul home a small portion of Florida with us. When we are done, we will probably look like an elaborate junk wagon trying to find its way to the nearest junkyard. There still will be room for Lulu, even if she has to sit on our laps. But until this Friday, we are making the most of each day and savoring every minute of it. Happy Days are still here.....

Farewell till next time!
Its sad to see you go. We will miss you. Sorry we didnt get to see much of you guys. Hope to get to see you next year. They were suppose to talk to Jeff about signing his contract for next year before we left but they didnt. Hope he has a job next season. We havent heard anything from them so maybe they were glad we r gone. We love Tropical Palms and all the people we have met there & worked with. Have a safe trip and tell Cory we will miss him.
