Day Three at Universal Studios

We're back at it again!......back to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. It kind of feels like we have been doing an amusement park marathon: 3 Universal Studios parks in a week....whew! This visit began later in the day: 4:00 PM. We were told the crowds would be smaller and the wait lines shorter. It was partially true - the wait lines were a lot shorter; the crowds were still about the same....maybe a little smaller. We received a bonus when we entered the park. We were each given a free pass for the express line for one ride. Normally, this pass costs an additional $50.00 on top of the park ticket price. That pass is good all day and for all rides except the Harry Potter rides (highest demand). It was a nice surprise to get this bonus pass for even one ride. It allows you to get on the high demand rides so much faster. The kids were able to ride all the rides they wanted; some a couple times. Lory is the brave adult in our group. She rides all the terrifying roller coasters. Screeeeaammmm. Of course, I have only one goal in mind: Butter Beer. You would think I am addicted to this delicious, non- alcholic beverage. I know I will go through withdrawal after tonight because this was my last "BB" until next year....rats. I savored every sip and even helped Cory drink some of his. Until we meet again, Butter Beer. I shall miss you! We could not leave until we visited the Backwater Bar - our other goal. It is not the same at night as it is during the hot, sweltering daytime. It was too chilly to sit outside and people-watch while sipping brewskis. We sat inside and waited a very long time being served. No matter....we will return to it next year....when it is hot & sweltering and we can enjoy our "afternoon delights". So much to anticipate and look forward to. I can hardly wait.....and my current "BB" hasn't even been digested. We took long strides leaving the park. The temperature must have dropped 20 degrees. At least, it wasn't raining like yesterday. We are all waiting for that hot Florida weather to return: time is running out.....we have to go home. The Faber's leave this Sunday, the Knapp's leave on Tuesday and we are leaving on Friday, the 12th. They say "All good things must come to an end"....rats!
