Racehorses
Lined up for the first race "And they're off"......we had a fun time at the races the other night. Cory and I sponsored 2 horses and guess what ----- they both won! "Winning" as Charlie Sheen would say. My horse was named "Lucky Lulu" and Cory's was "Hard Six". Of course we had to win with those names. We didn't have far to travel to get to the racetrack. The races were held here at Tropical Palms in one of the recreation rooms. Our friend, Joe (who was at Red Bay when we were there....you do remember Red Bay, right?), planned and organized this evening of horse racing. It was a festive time for all. Our horses were just on paper but he showed real horse races on the various TV's. He adapted our paper horses to the real horses so the race was full of anticipation and excitement. GO, GO, GO was the common yell throughout the night topped off by howls of joy when the winning horse crossed the finish line. We bet with play money and in the end, prizes were won from the winnings. Our winnings came from the fact that OUR horses (Lulu & Hard Six) came in first and we were the OWNERS. We were tap dancing in the winner's circle! Yippee Ki-Yay! Our combined winnings were for $40.00 at the poolside cafe here at Tropical Palms. I may not have to cook for the next month if we plan it right. Our winning streak has continued....I won $25.00 in the Super Bowl Football pool. Rah-Rah-Rah! We have decided this
really beats shoveling snow. It's like we are on a roll....next stop: the Hard Rock Casino?? Florida Lottery?? Jai Alai??
