We finally pulled up anchor and headed a little further south to Peck Lake (Hobe Sound area). It was a nice motored cruise down the river. A beautiful day on the waterway! We arrived at the anchorage to find some friends of ours anchored there. We settled in and I dropped the kayak in the water. This anchorage is a very popular place for locals to come as they can beach their boats and have a short walk to the ocean. This makes for a very wavy anchorage (that, and it's very close to the channel where boats are constantly speeding by on the weekends). My kayak trip was nice. I got back into an area where it was nice and quiet. Later that afternoon, we dropped the dinghy in the water and headed to a park our friends told us about. We were able to drop our trash, take a quick shower and pick up some additional water. That evening we dinghyed over to our friends' boat for drinks. After a nice visit, we returned to our boat, had dinner and turned in. Awh what a life......
