Departed Blue Springs SP about 9:30AM. We saw many wild turkeys as we drove near the Ocala NF. In and out of rain during the morning then cleared in the early afternoon, reaching the low 90s. Arrived Falling Waters, SP about 5:00PM CDT. (360 miles - 70 miles W. of Tallahassee) Extremely nice park with concrete parking pads and fencing. We are located among the pines and have nice neighbors. Tomorrow we will stay here and relax and see some sites. We hope to have pictures to post tomorrow.... read more

We are located just S. of I-10 and about 50 miles N. of Panama City Beach. Here at FallingWatersState Park huge trees and fern-covered sinkholes line Sink Hole Trail and a boardwalk that leads to Florida's highest waterfall. (Unfortunately dry at this time) Falling Waters Sink is a 100 -foot deep, 20-foot wide cylindrical pit into which falls a small stream that drops 73 feet to the bottom of the sink. The water's final destination remains unknown. Only a few miles south of I-10, the park provided us with a quiet, serene stop on our journey west. We watched beautiful native and migrating butterflies in the butterfly garden, and had a nice lake to take a dip but didn't partake. Yesterday we crossed the time line, and we were spending the night only a mile or two from the time line. One moment the cell phone showed central time and the next it would show eastern. Well Bob got confused and woke up 4:00 am central thinking it was 5:00 am. At what he thought was 6:00 ( but really 5:00 am) he knocked on our door thinking we had over slept. We were able to get this sorted and we were off. It was extremely foggy. We rode the two miles back to the trail and stopped at a quick stop for a nice breakfast where we waited for the fog to lift.
