We drove from Orlando to the Kennedy Space Centre, which was a bit tricky on the wrong side of the road, but we made it ok.

We did a special 'NASA up close' tour, which was different from the normal tour in that it took us slightly closer to the shuttle launch pads. And showed us the Vehicle Assembly Building (which is just a building). And showed us the landing runway (which is just a runway). But seeing the launch pads was very cool, especially as Endeavour was sitting on one of them awaiting its launch on Friday.

The tour ended at the Apollo/Saturn V display, where an actual (so they said) Apollo rocket is on display. It is unbelievably big. And complicated.

We also saw the 'clean room' where modules for the International Space Station are tested, a couple of films about the Apollo missions and various other displays.

Other than seeing the space shuttle up so close (well, about 2 km away) and the Apollo rocket the whole day was a bit underwhelming.
