Last week we took a road trip to Colorado. I don't want to call it a vacation as it was more an escape from reality.

We spent a week in the Rocky Mountains and Steamboat Springs social distancing at 7,000'. We hiked, we biked (some better than others lol and I think I will be healing up for awhile) and we even spent a day driving through Wyoming. It was a fantastic altitude adjustment.

Colorado is beautiful and magical. Every day was a different adventure. There is so much to do there! I felt like we could slow down and enjoy nature's beauty.

A classic and charming piece of this town's history. The Rabbit Ears Pass is a high mountain pass that is one of the most important transcontinental road links in the nation; it connects Steamboat to other parts of the state and is one of three crossings of the continental divide along US 40 Highway.

Amazing food is served in this charming atmosphere. We were seated outside by a creek to enjoy our dinner and cocktails. Perfect date night.

It's a quaint and cultural city, founded in the 1870's, which is located in the upper valley the Yampa River and just west of the Continental Divide.
