Still on the way into the park.
Today I decided to try one of the hikes above Red Rocks Amphitheater on Denver's West side, and take some photos while I was up there. It was a fairly clear day, and probably around 65 degrees and breezy at the top, but the breeze on the way up helped me cool off from the steep hike. I don't think I would recommend this hike simply due to how steep it is, and how often there are lots of small loose rocks on the trail.

The way up wasn't too bad other than just steep. On the way down though, you had to be careful each step as those loose stones would give out from under your feet all the time. Good views on the way up and at the top though.

Looks like that hole is man made, but the trail head is beyond that opening.

That summit is where I plan to go. Looks like it might be a bit of work from here.

It doesn't look that steep to start, but even this little stretch to start is a little tricky with those wet rocks on the middle. If you go 100 yards further south, you will see another trailhead that is marked closed for restoration.

The amphitheater sits in between those rocks, beyond the concrete areas there.

This is to the right of the trail. Just a bit more up to go to reach the summit.
