Hello Everyone... WELL at the moment we're in Los Angeles (Anaheim)... We flew into LAX airport at 9:30am Friday morning LA time... Checked into our hotel & ventured to downtown LA... First impression... I didn't really like the look off downtown as there were alot of homeless, annoying beggers & weirdos... BUT we were crossing an intersection... & there were all these cops directing traffic... they then stopped all the traffic & this big truck came roaring down the street... They were shooting a commercial... Don't know wat for tho... HAHA but we had front row seats... Anywayz we then went onto Hollywood... There we did a Movie Star home tour... It was AWESOME... We seen many stars houses... eg. Madonna's, Reece Witherspoon, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Anniston,,, etc etc... over 40 stars homes... Towards the end ... read more

Ok, so this isn't a far away place, but this counts as a travel. Ahhhhh, precious Disneyland. Cheston and I visited this weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, even though we only hit one ride. We decided we had an "old people" day and that we got to enjoy Disneyland like older people do. We strolled around slowly avoiding speeding strollers and people running to the rides. It was a day of Disneyland firsts! I got to enjoy a turkey leg for the first time! Although a novelty, it definitely was a lot of meat to eat. I probably will opt for the chimichanga next time. :) We tried a cream cheese filled pretzel, which was TO DIE FOR. The coolest thing was that we happened to be at Disneyland during the "Disney California Food and Wine Festival". ... read more

A and B danced at Disney land today and the show was just brillant. The whole dance troupe did a fantasic job and everyone is so proud of them. We started the day at Target shopping. What a huge store, with everything you could need. (Sorry about this boring fact but when I am home and reviewing this journal its these small things that make it worth while) Managed to stay at Disney for the fireworks at 9:30pm. Lots of music and commentary, and of course spectacular fireworks. Even tinkerbell weas flying around the Disney castle. The show was beathtaking... Abbey was scared but she managed to enjoy the last 10 minutes of the show... Tomorrow we are on a LA tour to see the stars, hollywood etc etc... Report back then. M... read more

Disneyland is a self-acclaimed happiest place on the earth! No matter how old you are, how many times you have been there… the kid inside you will enjoy the experience for sure! This weekend, we decided to check the grounds of these accusations. There are two different resorts: Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park in Los Angeles. We decided to make a day trip to the Disneyland Park, as we were accompanied by my sister (Shailee), brother-in-law (Pritesh), and my 2.5 years old nephew (Rishi). For kids, Disneyland Park is definitely the right choice considering the attractions like Toontown and Fantasyland. That, however, does not mean that elders do not have much to do… There is a lot for everyone at the Disneyland resorts. The park is divided into seven areas (clockwise from the entry): ... read more

G;day, Its day 3 (I think) and we spent it at Universal Studios. What a great place, better than Disneyland as the lines are so much smaller.. Lyn and I braved the Jurassic Park ride which has a 80 foot drop at the end whcih was big. The American accent and slang is starting to stick and I'm using it more and more... Tomorrows goal is to find a nice heathy meal, not fried this or fried that. (I asked for a salad today and was asked if I wanted it fried or grilled... Go figure!) The kids wilL be doing their dancing tommorrow at Disneyland just after lunch so it should be another great day. Looking forward to B on stage... Anyway having a great time.... do you want fries with that ? Have a ... read more

It was our 3rd and final full day in Disneyland, I'm not counting our day of arrival even though we were in the park by 2:00 pm. Today we did Space Mountain yet again as well as the "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" 3D show. While we were doing that Janelle & Kayla were in line for the "Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage". It is a submarine that doesn't fully submerge and takes 15 minutes to complete. It takes you through the Finding Nemo movie with underwater statues, animated fish and 3D video screens which were quite amazing. There is no flash photography or lighting assisted video but I did manage a few pics in the lighter areas without a flash. It wasn't technically a ride so there was no fast pass, but this was undoubtedly the ... read more

Another sunny day with enough cloud cover to keep the temperature around 20 degrees. We spent most of the morning in Fantasyland. Janelle took Kayla on some kiddie rides including Dumbo, The Mad Tea Party and Alice in Wonderland. We all went on the Storybook Canal Boat Ride. Next we headed off to Toontown. Jason got most of the Autographs here in about 45 minutes. I had the opportunity to do some flash photography in Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin. Jason and Tyler thought Toon Town was very cool because everything was, of course, toon-like as you can see from the pictures. We took a tour through Mickey Mouse's house and he just happened to be in his personal studio shooting Fantasia. So he took the time to stop for a couple of pictures with us ... read more

It is hard to believe that the last time Janelle and I were here was on 9-11. Last night was fun just showing the kids around the park and going on a ride and then heading back for a dip in the pool to release all the built up energy from being in the van again. Now for our first full day at Disneyland. We started our morning off with breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney is actually a free street area between Disneyland and California Adventure full of shops kioks and restaurants. Everything from ESPN Zone to Jazz and Blues Clubs to Candy Stores. Of course there is Disney shops and kiosks for face painting, portraits and magic among others. We bought Jason a Disney autograph book that has a place ... read more
