Hey everyone! Now, here is a bit about our trip to Greenland. We flew from Iceland's capital city, Reykjavik, to Greenland's capital city of Nuuk. The difference was striking. Take a look at Greenland on a map. We are standing on a miniscule section, on the edge of the east part. It was very hard to judge distance when everything went on forever.

What a powerful experience standing on the Greenlandic Ice Sheet, knowing it is responsible for our planet's gulf stream. If we lose this ice, our gulf stream stops, and our planet is in another ice age. It felt like we were walking on a very sacred place.

Kangerlussuaq. With no predators in this part of Greenland (except for polar bears in the north part, but very rare, and the odd fox) there are some enthusiastic hikers and campers that come here to explore on foot.

Greenland's flag on the building we stayed at with Janus, our host. This was just put up by artist, Julie Hardenberg, in celebration of Greenland's Independence day. Greenland had just received more autonomy from the Danish government.

with Greenlanders' clothes then painted the colours of the flag. The red for the sun, the white for the snow.

in Nuuk. The building was themed with a northern lights design.

Cutting up seal in Nuuk. Seal and whale are still very much a part of the Greenlanders' diet.
