A Bulldozer in a Miserable Place… It comes as no surprise that nobody has ever coined the phrase “as comfortable as lying as under a broken bulldozer”. Bulldozers are big, clumsy and heavy, and all components of the machine are cumbersome and awkward. Bulldozers typically work in miserable environments! Working alongside their mechanical companions, they push rock and dirt to allow for a variety of construction projects, mining operations and the like – this bulldozer was used for constructing a runway… But, like all machines, they can break. imagine my suprise walking in from getting back and wearing clean clothes for the 1st time in a week i go into the dining room and their is richard hammond the topgear presenter IN THE ARCTIC OF ALL PLACES hees a nice guy ive had lots of chats with him and the other presenters who are all shitting themselves about their latest race were jeremy and james are going to race richard hammond jeremy and james in an icelandic 4x4 against richard hammond on an inuit dog sled all the inuit ive talked to are laughing about it as they dont think they have a chance of beating the dogs let alone getting their at all here are the cars the support crews the presenters this dog is the cutest her name is khan their is ... read more

but the sunsets were amazing when i 1st wrote about the sun and how it stays light but whent dimmer i thought that was wat its like but as the days haave been going by its been going brighter and brighter throughout the night as im writing this it is broad daylight outside and it is around 3 in the morning when we had are few days rest inbetween them leaving and us leaving to checkpoint 1 one of our teams had a polar bear encounter were 2 curious young bears came and ivestigated their pulks here are some pics that were taken luckily no one was hamed and neither were the bears just a few shredded socks and pulks by the young bears playing with the pulk and looking inside whilst i was at checkpoint ... read more

being flown out to chekpoint one by an even SMALLER plane than before that was fun it has skis on it for landing on the sea ice unfortunatly we landed on the top of the old olaris mine site wich is on the top of a GREAT BIG HILL were we all had to lug all of our heavy equipment down the hill the go up to get the rest i did it 7 times completely nakerd me out but had some great views if u whant to go to the moon or mars dont bother its cheeper to come here its the same landacape and probably warmer just different coulor this was my home for the next 5 days this was like my living room (the comunial tent) this was our effectionatly named igloooo u ... read more

hey everyone i wrote a great blog and it got deleated so ill try and do it again the best i can we left from ottawa to resolute today if n e one is interested this were i am in relation to the pole first we arrived in iqaluit then we changed plane to a twin propeller plane wich is tiny yes im serious this photo was taken from the very front of the plain so it is this small and we were flying very very low as u can see all their is is ice and snow as far as u can see in any direction then we stopped off in iglulik for an hour to refule (this is the airport) that little person statue is called an inukshuk its used to guide inuits and ... read more

if u look in the photo of inside the cabin in part one of this blog u will see 2 fat americans behind me these guys i hate theyve paid $30,00 each so that they can kill a polar bear and muskox each (wich doesnt include flight or hotel it just includes being allowed to kill them and to pay the inuit guides and trackers they have to pay more to bring back the pelt and the skull the rest of it the inuits take and eat) i say kill (would rather say murder) because i dont want to give them the privelege of saying hunt these guys do not hunt at all they say they do but they dont the inuits go out on snowmobiles find a bear then radio back another inuit takes them ... read more

hey every one sorry i havt updated or posted in aaaaagggggggggeeeeeeesssssssss just been busy but heres a big update i was working solid for the 1st few days heres some pics from around town thats the local school the komituk the locals sleds outside the school the get dragged behind the back of the snowmobiles the local church the only police car in town and their are only 2 or 3 police men in the station i whent on a bit of hike and took some pics thats the size of the town me and chris meet some of the local kids their fascinated by us and amazed by my earing and piercings they allways ask about them and follow us were ever we go we whent out for our 1st night training sleeping in the ... read more
