Location: Still in Room 501.

Status: Horizontal but perky. The Malaria tablets seem to cause wild dreams. Can't quite remember the exact details but I recall visiting some weird Hotel and charging around various interconnected Tube Stations trying to navigate back to my room....?...perhaps it was the cheese on my burger....

Activity: The Airport is slowly waking up. A lone BA flight from Kuala Lumpur landed at 0517 according to my FlightRadar App. This is an essential piece of software for the discerning traveller.

Misson: A leisurely drive in "New Neddy" to T2 at 0830....valet park....United Airlines check in....breakfast......

Time Check 11:32: Well here we are in the United Airlines Lounge in T2.....UA seem to have their own Terminal which is at least 15 mins hike from proper T2. No nasty Giraffe Eateries or Britannia Pubs serving Stella in sight!.....instead slick chrome....silver leather chairs and "dressed down" executives typing very important emails to even more important bosses "Stateside". We tuck into a full English and contemplate the 3 hour wait to boarding! We have arrived early......0900hrs for a 1340 takeoff......determined to use the "facilities to the full".

SECURITY: Heathrow seems to be taking things seriously. There are hard looking "tooled up" police discreetly watching everywhere. Sniffer dogs romp freely and we are given the 3rd degree by the United Airlines check in staff. They were pleasant but asked what I did for a living and why we were travelling to the States.........PROFILE BUILDING.... It is good to see that we are protecting our countries front door but feel concerned that we are perhaps not being backed up by our Euro chums across the Channel.

MISSION: Board flight UA4 (Boeing 787 Dreamliner) to Houston; 10hrs 30 mins......then decant to the George Bush (oh yes) Radisson for 1 night and then take a 4 hour flight to Managua Nicruagrua the next morning - more to follow.....
