Well, I just returned to Castle Donington in England after spending Monday to Saturday of this week in Nefyn, which in on the LLeyn Peninsula in North Wales. I spent most of the time visiting my Nain (welsh for grandmother), Aunts, and Cousins. A definate highlight was going down to the beach with my 15 year old cousin Taran and group of his friends and having a swim in the Irish Sea. They were all getting ready to get their wetsuits on when the mad canadian ran down the beach and dove in no problem. They all stood there shocked, and finally were too embarrassed to put on the wetsuits after that. We’re driving through Northern Wales to catch the Irish ferry tomorrow; passing so many sweet little villages. We stopped to have a look at the ruins of a castle but they wanted to charge too much to have a closer look. As we drove through Conwy we noticed a huge castle with the old town surrounded by fortified walls. What a lucky find this town is. We were able to walk along the walls which still run completely around the town. Then we came to the castle and just had to have a look inside. It was fascinating. The town is on a river with a quaint fishing quayside with fishermen tending their crab pots(?) So we sat here and had pies (again) for lunch.
