Suzy is sulking. She is still standing on our drive waiting for her holidays to start. 50 days and counting.......... .The sun is shining and she wants to start her 2013 adventures. Yesterday we spent time starting to get her ready for the coming season. We began by loading up the front lockers. We checked first that there was a copious selection of sweets to keep us going on our travels. Werthers Toffees, Soft Mints, Chocolate Eclairs and Licquorice Allsorts – Check . Boxes filled with smalls - Check, Boxes full of towels and T-towels- Check . We filled the water tanks with cleaner probably not enough but we used what we had .Taps switched on to run it through. Suzy likes her pipes cleaned. Jelly shoes placed in the wardrobe ready for use in the ... read more

Bails Out! It was my Birthday weekend and also it coincided with a Stag party of one Stretcho and Mikey Boy's mates. David Bailey or Bails picked Chaddy and I up from our respective homes and we hit out on the highway. Chad wanted him to stop at an off License, so he could buy some cans of lager for the Journey. But Bails was having none it, he told him "F*ck off, if I can’t have a drink then you can’t" Bails was Old Skool Team Moston. He had moved out of the Manor to Longsight about 6 years ago and settled down with his wife and kids. No one had seen or heard from him a few years and here he was back on the pub scene, a clear sign to me that ... read more

Well, I am near Bangor, in Tregarth. Actually at this moment I am sitting in the Star Cafe in Bethesda. I started hiking up hill behind Tregarth, with instructions how to come down the other side and find pub in Pentir. Great views of sea and mountains up there. Got lost several times and was given directions from friendly locals. I didn't expect such a long trek (longer when lost and have to repeat going up that hill through tiny forest). I got to this pub by one thirty, starving, only to find it closed Monday and Tuesday. Damn! Thank goodness for the blackberries I was munching along the way. I had no clue where I was, because I expected to get directions from people in the pub, how to return to Tregarth. Nobody was around, ... read more

Well, here we are, one day to go! Slightly annoyed that Cemaes Bay is not available as a location on the Blog, must not be the metropolis we locals make it out to be. Everything now packed, rucksack naturally weighs more than i thought it would but shouldnt be a problem. Somethings you only come to realise when your planning a trip like this...you get to spend a lot of time in your local post office, which is always nice and you have to deal with an awful lot of Utility Company based noddy not rights over the phone. But hey ho. So this is it, my last few hours in Sunny Wales and my last night in the UK. 2 years of planning and its finally arrived. Pretty scary but confident it'll probably all work ... read more

Today was the day for Caernafon!!! I woke up earlyish and woke everyone up getting ready. Of course s2 slept in the computer room making it very convienent for me! Anyways Simon got up after awhile and made me a cup a tea and i had some breaky to prepare for a long day. I took the train to Chester and transferred to Bangor.Lovely train ride it was super rainy but I saw the Irish Sea and tons of hills with sheep and all that countryside splendour. From Bangor it took awhile to get a bus to the castle. Also it was pretty expensive but it ended up working out pretty well for me. Once i got to Caenarfon I asked the bus driver how to get to the castle and he insisted he didnt know!!! ... read more

We're back with another installment of the Adventures of Will & Bri! This time our adventures included two friends: Heather, an American from Philadelphia and Andy, an Englishman from...England! Both of them are teachers at the same school as us. Heather teaches Math and Andy teaches P.E. Since it was a long weekend, we decided to avoid doing any work and go on a road trip to North Wales! Wales is a neighbouring country to England. We chose Wales as our destination for this long weekend because of our recent passport fiasco and the fact that we are not required to show our passports when crossing into the country. We hired a car on Friday night (Bri was the chauffeur) and made the 4 hour trek to our hotel in North Wales. We arrived at our ... read more

I'm here, finally, safe and sound! I can't believe its actually here. I've thought about this semester for years and its here! I'm actually in a different country and will be for the next 5 months. I hope I can summarize my adventures for you all here, and if you want to hear about anything more in depth, just let me know. Or if you have any questions just email me. Also let me know if you have a problem with any ranting, because I tend to say a lot when it really isn't all relevant and travel off on tangents about silly little details that I find interesting but you may not. Actually there is probably a lot of stuff that I find interesting that others probably could care less about. Anyway, I will catch ... read more

This is my paragraph to explain that I am not a very good blogger. I do not like sitting in front of my computer typing out my travels. While I know many of you are waiting patiently, I can only offer you an apology. Since France and Italy I have made my way through Ireland travelling from Dublin to the Aran Islands (off the west coast). I have also made my way North to Scotland. There I fished for Nessie, took a tour of the Brodie Castle (yes, we have a castle, so yes that means I’m important), and visited Joshua in Edinburgh. Since then I've been mingling with students from Bangor and started my idea of classes for the semester. Everybody else thinks they're a joke, and I might agree to a point (psychology of ... read more

This is my account of my horrible, rotten, no good, very bad day. Please be advised that this is just one day in a list of very amazing, fun-filled, exciting days. If you are planning on going to Rome, or anywhere in Europe for that matter this could be an interesting one to ready, but please don’t let it be the only one you read. I would still go back to Roma, Italia in a heartbeat, maybe after I learn a little more Italian. This day should have been a blank in the ol’ blog, but because of certain unforeseen events it has become one that I think needs to be shared. It started very early in the morning after a very late night of packing. I had already figured most things for today out, and ... read more
