It's hard to stay up with thing, but i'll try. Well, these past couple of weeks me and charlie have had our hands full with not only our first batch of seminars, but branching out and exploring further parts of the local area. My first set of pictures are from a large hill south of town, Pen Dinas, where numerous artifacts are scattered. An Iron Age fort has remains on the coastal side, and there is a large tower monument for the Duke of Wellington on the very top that can be seen from any point in town. Unfortunately, I've made several trips up this hill, but i've only remembered to bring my camera when it was dusk, but it did make from some very cool pictures. Hey-oh! Yes, I know, it's a bit late since i've already been here for three weeks but I figured there isn't a better time. Well, what to say!? More like, where to start...Well, to start off, I'll just go from the beginning then, aye? (pretty orignial idea, i'm aware). Well, I flew into Birmingham, England on Jan. 24th after a delightful 17 hr. trek from Albuquerque to Houston to Newark to Birmingham...and i've also developed a health distaste for airports, which isn't necessarily a bad thing either. Next, took the train from there in Birmingham to Aberystwyth (no train changes, thank the lord) which was a nice relaxing three hour ride through the british countryside. i love north wales! not always hot in summer but nice to get away from the hussle and bustle of england. apparently aberystwyth has the highest number of pubs per capita in the uk, but then i wouldn't know about that!... read more
