Walking...Walking...Walking...

a stormy thursday walking through the castle on up to Pen Dinas
It's hard to stay up with thing, but i'll try. Well, these past couple of weeks me and charlie have had our hands full with not only our first batch of seminars, but branching out and exploring further parts of the local area. My first set of pictures are from a large hill south of town, Pen Dinas, where numerous artifacts are scattered. An Iron Age fort has remains on the coastal side, and there is a large tower monument for the Duke of Wellington on the very top that can be seen from any point in town. Unfortunately, I've made several trips up this hill, but i've only remembered to bring my camera when it was dusk, but it did make from some very cool pictures.

Next, me and Charlie exploiting that we have some Young Person's Railcards, got some day cruiser tickets for about 4 pound 80 (about 9 bucks) to go see Harlech and its amazing castle, and that it was! An amazing experience. Plus, we had hour layovers in Machynlleth (Ma-ken-cleth), a large town in Wales which actually used to be the old capital of Medieval Wales, so there were some cool sights to see there. Long story short, me and charlie both crashed for a nap the minute we got back. A long day, but a great one.

School's just going...it just fills the time between adventures, which is a nice way to look at it.

We don't know what me and charlie are going to do next, but we have some ideas, but we won't finalize them til next week. Maybe more castles, maybe more artifacts, maybe england for a while. Who knows.....I don't.

Yes, the other gallaugher, how about the size of the doorways and the steps in those castles, were those guys small or what?? We found out that they had running hot and cold water in ancient piping systems so the gentry could clean up if the fires were up and running early enough.drew told us of your site, good to see it is such an adventure, see you back at CC in the fall for some games..... and food...
