A quick exit of Aberdeen and it was onto St Andrews. We parked between the wide, open, sandy beach, the beach on which the race scene of Chariots of Fire was filmed, and the famous St Andrews golf course. Looking at the cathedral from a side side street.

James Boswell and Samuel Johnson ...

The ice-cream business a few hundred metres from the cathedral was too tempting ... we succumbed.

St Andrews street scene ... evening approximately 9pm.

Note the rounded stone footpath ... not high heel conducive.

House proud.

9pm, temp approx 8 C, water cold as, 2 crazies swimming.

The pool is to the left of the old castle.

Where Kate met Wills ... for coffee.
