Good morning Folks! Awoke to a gorgeous and sunny day here in Ipswich. After breakfast , I did laundry and began to help Sally in the kitchen. Today at 3 pm, Sally,Sheri and I are hosting a Sproughton Community Shop Volunteers Tea Party in the garden of PFH. We need to be ready before 2:35 pm , so I can take a picture of all of the sweets,cakes and tea/coffee before the guests arrive. Before 11 am , I had finished making Rice Krispies Treats ! Then around 1:15, I walked briskly to Tesco's to get a few last minute supplies. We had placed the Tea, Coffee, Pims and the soft drinks on one of the tables inside the "Glorietta". ( Outside Porch) Later, we all began to bring the cakes,sweet tarts,scones,mini cupcakes,pastries and the rice krispies onto the other table. Around 2:55, the desserts were unveiled for their pictures before all of the guests gobbled them up. A little after 3 pm, guests began to arrive and then by 3:45 pm, all twenty guests were sitting around the garden enjoying themselves. The hosts and the guests mingled and talked for awhile under the big tent outside! Several also played a relaxing game of tennis and tried a scooter out on the grass. Just a few brave souls dove into the cold pool and then hopped into the sauna ! (Brrrr ! ) I was one of those folks who swam into the frigid swimming pool and then I ran to the sauna to warm myself up! I played a little tennis and then rounded everyone up for the "Quiz." We had 4 boxes of chocolates that we needed to give away and so I found random questions from the Cranium game. I was the "QUIZ MASTER", carefully and slowly asked each questions 1-12 for all of the guests and the two other hostesses. It was a lot of FUN! Finally after 30 minutes, we had four winners! Congrats!! 😊 Shortly thereafter, the guests dwindled down to about 8 and we just chilled a bit! I think everyone had a wonderful time! Later that night , we and a simple dinner/dessert after cleaning up the party which took awhile. Time to say those two words, folks : " GOODNIGHT FOLKS!! 😊 😊
