A long day travelling

This is definitely our last day in Thailand - or perhaps I shouldnt have tempted fate by even thinking along those lines ?!
Eat breakfast at guest house, check out, then at 08:00 we are being picked up by Mr Noi and are on our way to Suvarmabhumi airport.
We arrive ridiculously early as there was no traffic problems - more local knowledge not helping. The check in desk is not even open yet so we find a seat and sit to wait. Whilst we are queueing for check in I spot Jai's daughter Jiap arriving and once we have completed check in they are able to sit and have a good chat for an hour before we have to head through to the departure lounge. By 11:45 we are again seated comfortably with just over an hour to wait until our departure gate is due to open.
EVA flight BR067 arrives late and means that our departure from Bangkok is about 1 hour after scheduled.
We experience quite a bit of turbulence throughout the flight but apart from that it wasnt too bad. We land at Heathrow about 40mins late just before 20:00 UK time. We clear immigration then spend ages waiting for our bags to arrive before I realise we are standing at the carousel for the wrong Bangkok flight !! Eventually collecting our luggage we pass through customs unhindered and make for a phone to call friend Phill. He is parked up waiting for us just outside the terminal which is just as well with it being cold and wet.
Not the nicest of drives back but we arrive home on the dot of 22:30.
