Trafalgar Square
The next day we came back for the National Gallery; It just so happened to be St. Patricks Day Festival in the square. LOTS of people. Well we've just spent four days in london, staying at the lovely hotel de air mattress at my cousin Kristy's place. A big thankyou to Kristy and Matty for putting us up, and for a beatuiful roast lamb.
We've spent these days soughting out the job situation, with interviews in Manchester for me and Leeds for Stacey. We've decided to work in Manchester when we get back, because i'm bigger than her and I bet her in an arm wrestle. No not really the job prospects are looking better there, and it has a good airport for getting around.
We had some drama with Stace's bus to leeds - we were late by no more than 5 mins due to an accidental late alarm on my phone and she missed it. But we managed to get another ticket and it ended out okay.
We've done some sightseeing around London - Went and visited the Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, London and Tower Bridges and St. Paul's cathederal. We stayed for the evensong service in St. Pauls, where a choir and organ pumped out the classics. Was quite a special moment, the inside of the catheredal is awe-inspiring,
Greenwich Observatory
Lot's of Clocks, and ways of measuring time. together with the echo of the music. goosebumps all round.
We did some walking round greenwich, taking in the observatory (where Greenwich Mean time was founded) as well as a british pub meal. Lot's of ambience backed up by some nice beer.
Also tried out one of those sushi bars with conveyor belts whisking around plates of oddities. Not a bad feed, if only now and again. After we went to a show on the west end - Dancing in the Streets. it was sought of a Motown music Review - They had everyone up dancing in the aisles. Not the streets but close.
Anyway hope you're all well, we are now in Prague, planning some trips and things to do. The trip to the airport was a bit hectic; Stacey had lost her wallet, and declaring it all out and lost, she found it in her backpack on the way to the airport. Patience is a virtue we are learning quickly.
Cheers,
Ben and Stacey
