Welcome to the first instalment of my new travel blog. Tomorrow I fly to Delhi, India. I'm nearly ready, passport, visas, tickets all sorted just have to do the final pack of my rucsack and hope I can still lift it. It hasn't quite hit me yet that I'm leaving tomorrow and won't be back for a year or so, I guess it will at the airport. The final week of my stay in London became more and more frenetic as the day of Ive’s wedding drew closer. The pace sped up and tempers shortened, but such is life. On Tuesday Uje, Ubani and myself set off to Woolwich town centre with a list of items needed to the wedding. Given that London is not big on shopping malls, we assumed that there would be a high street of some sort. Having trouble finding the place we asked for directions and were greeted with confused expressions and shrugging of shoulders. Note to self - Woolwich Town Centre is not the best for a shopping spree. The evening was more fruitful as Uje & I met up with a NZ friend at London Bridge. Hi Folks, Well just under 23 hours to go and I am really excited. I am currently staying at Peter & David,s place and we leave for the Heathrow Hotel this afternoon. Last minute things are going in the case and the weight of my case just, I repeat just!!complies to the 20Kgs. David's case is no where near as heavy as mine, that is possibly because the Australians know how to pack because they truely are seasoned travellers. Peter has kindly cooked us a farewell cooked breakfast with all the trimmings so we are well set up for the day. At 1.30pm Peter is driving us to Greenwich North station for the onward journey by train and tube to Heathrow. Well this will be the last journal before we fly, so farewell to Blighty!!
