Englannissa oli tähän asti pärjännyt luottokortilla. Mutta hotellin pesukoneeseen tarvittiin kolikoita. Olin vaihtanut 20 puntaa ja olin saanut kaverilta reilun neljän punnan edestä kolikoita. Kävin vaihtamassa ne hotellin respassa punnan kolikoiksi, jotka kävivät pesukoneeseen ja kuivuriin. Tein pikakierroksen DLR-pikaraitiotiellä. Kävin telakkamuseossa Thames-joen rannassa ja kävelin sen ympäristössä. Tulin toista reittiä takaisin. Päädyin syömään eiliseen paikkaan, kun muut lähiravintolat olivat kiiinni. Otin päiväunet ja menin ajoissa konserttiin DLR:llä. Nyt olin tanssiaitiossa. Ostin sinne juomia, ja katsoin esityksen seisten ja tanssien. Sieltä näki myös paremmin. Since 21 March we have always stayed at home or local, haven’t gone anywhere further than Wood Green. However, non-essential shops like clothes and bookshops started reopening in England on 15 June and it made it possible for me to buy presents for my husband, my father and my nephew. We decided to meet up with Bryn, Steve and Rhiannon somewhere near their house around Mark’s birthday, 23 June. Steve suggested meeting in the Olympic Park on 27 June. The weather forecast of 27 June was rather grim, so we decided to meet them in the lunchtime near the Podium entrance on 28 June. The alarm clock went off at the usual time. However, I wasn't going to work. It was a weekend and there was no motivation needed to get out of bed today. The World Athletics Championships started the previous night. London 2017. It wasn't the Olympic Games of London 2012, but the nation was coming together thanks to Sir Mo. He had stormed to victory in the 10,000 metres the previous night, evoking memories of the double on home soil. We had tickets for tonight. The Legend of the athletics was bowing out tonight. Esemenydus volt a nyar Londonban: eloszor az Olimpia, majd a Paralimpia kerult megrendezesre. Az Olimpia utan volt egy kis uresseg-erzes, de a levegoben ott volt a Paralimpia, az utjelzo tablakat is frissitettek a metroallomasokon, igy tudtuk, nem kell sokat varni az ujabb vilagraszolo esemenyre. Korabban meg nem lattam ilyet, igy nagyon kivancsi voltam ra, es orultem, hogy harom esemenyre is sikerult jegyet szereznem. Eloszor a cselgancsra sikerult bejutni, majd, mivel a belepo egyuttal az ExCel rendezvenykozpontba is szolt, mas esemenyekre is be lehetett latogatni, kapacitastol fuggoen. A cselgancson ket tatami volt, es parhuzamosan folyt a kuzdelem a ket helyszinen. Volt harom TV is a kuzdoter folott, de azok csak az egyik esemenyt mutattak, igy akik a csarnok vegeben ultek, csak reszben kovethettek az esemenyeket. Hello all! Well I'm back in Italy already after a super quick week in London. It was so great to see everyone and I did so much last week, I'm absolutely dead now! Before I went I was a bit worried about how I'd feel being back, but I seemed to just fit right back into London life again as if I'd never left. The week didn't start very well, as I got to Turin airport to discover that my case was 6kg over weight and at 20 Euros a kg I had to quickly lighten my load. I had two bottles of lemoncello in my case as presents which weighed 2.5kg so gave it to the Ryan Air woman.
