We have about an hour for dedicated writing time this morning, which I spend overlooking an amazing cove of deep green water. (For any chemists out there, it looks like the color of copper in solution.) The rocks are red and it reminds me of southern Utah in a way. After the writing’s done, we set out on a long hike down the coast to Weymouth, a classic English beach holiday town. I think this hike was my favorite so far. We hiked the cliffs along the coast, which are chalky white and completely perfect. No wonder this coast is a world heritage site—and no wonder I saw a sign saying you aren’t allowed to take photography for publication without written permission, although I find it very strange to in this way “copyright” a coastline.
