Bern

Bern is a beautiful medieval town an hours train from Basel Airport. We stayed in the historic area, cobbled streets, ancient churches and stone buildings hundreds of years old. The long streets are lined with shops; exclusive boutiques, galleries, delis, chocolate shops, homewares, I was in heaven. Behind the church is a park which overlooks the river where many people sit to catch the sun, play boules or ping pong. Mark visited the Bern Contemporary Art Museum, unfortunately my knees gave out.
