Xmas EVE! Once again a bright and early start Geneva bound from Stanstead at 6.05am! Had slight drama but nothing too major. I originally hadn’t booked checked in luggage (no idea how i thought I was gonna fit everything AT ALL) but then decided a week before after already booking my bus to the airport, that I was gonna pay for checked in luggage! Great idea but usually you can just hop on ay bus but cos it was xmas eve all the buses were full and they told me I had to wait until the one i booked came – which wouldn’t have given me enough time to check my bag in. So was having a slight stress as I did NOT wanna be stuck in London for xmas! But a nice driver next let me on the bus and I was so so impressed with the organisation at Stanstead this am. I waited in a queue of only 6 ppl for my bag drop and we were away laughing! The service at starbucks was fantastic! So many staff on. I expected chaos there today but was pleasantly surprised! Boarded the plane and had no probs. Met sarah and sam
at geneva airport as they had just been snowboarding for a fortnight in Austria and had they times of their lives! We the met Jenna and Ryan, who had been hanging out in Geneva for 3 days prior , and all boarded Bens Bus to Val Thorens!
None of us knew what to expect but as we got higher up the snow was falling so hard and the cloud was so low we couldn’t see a thing! It was incredible. We got dropped off in the lil village of Val Thorns and trekked for a while trying to find our lil villa with all our gear! The other boys who were already there had settled in and decided not to board cos the visibility was so bad! But sarah took ryan out on the sloped to get him started as he hadn’t boarded before. I went and picked up my gear and had a wander around the village which was so so pretty! We all decided to go out for a nice meal the first night so headed towards a nice Italian place and had amazing pizza and wine to warm ourselves up. On the way there
we passed carollers in the snow and fireworks going off which was pretty cool! So we stayed, sang and enjoyed that for a lil bit. We did however, miss sitting on santas knee in the snow to give him our final wish list for tomo morning! But lets be honest if he hasn’t organised it yet hes been a bit lazy and cutting it fine!!
We headed back after dinner and it was xmas day at home so we spent ages trying to figure out the wifi in our place which we eventually did and I was so blessed to skype and get through to my amazing family and get put in the centre of the table and watch them all open my presents one by one just before the internet cut out! But I semi felt like I was there J the boys stayed up drinking for a longgg time tonight and kept us all awake, which wasn’t helped by the fact that 3 of us girls were sharing a double couch! But all was good we’r in the FRENCH ALPS!!!!
