making xmas breakie in my onesie!
I awoke after a pitiful maybe 3 hours sleep max to Sarah climbing on me going Rach Rach Rach wake up its christmassssss!!! Haha so even though I wasn’t home it did feel a lil bit like xmas morning! I hopped up in my onesie, we put our flashing santa hats on and went out onto our balcony which had the chair lift going over our villa and skiers and snowboarders in our backyard. The su was coming up over the mountains and it was a totally picture perfect day!! So much snow had fallen and it was just sensational! We couldn’t believe our eyes! So we sat out there in the cold and opened our presents from each other which was fun! Then we did a team effort of bacon and eggs on toast for xmas breakie! Was actually pretty nice! It was no champagne and ham and cheese croissants or pancakes lie at home but was a pretty good substitute! I then managed to skype home again and open my presents via skype! Which was very exciting and I was very spoilt! J

We then all very excitedly got changed and ready to hit the slopes! Saah was now pretty much pro after her 2 weeks in Austria so she headed off early with the boys to do some missions across the mountains, and Jenna, Ryan and I hit the beginners slope! They hadn’t boarded before and I was teaching myself on the other leg (i did a whole season with right leg forward cos i had to pick one but when I went to jumps I realised that it needed to be left!). So we were all starting fresh! They were amazing for their first day so we kinda spread out a bit and played around on the beginner slopes for a day with our flashing santa hats on all day! Thank goodness for them cost hats all that really was Christmassy! We were all absolutely buggered after very little sleep and being on the slopes all day but we wanted a roast for xmas day so we went searching. But unfortunately couldn’t find anything. So, we settled for fondue cos the others hadn’t tried it before. It was HORRIBLE! So disappointing! And they lady kept asking us how much we liked it and the lies just kept coming! It was really bad! So xmas

beautiful incredibly gorgeous morning on the alps - in our backyard!
dinner wasn’t the greatest unfortunately! We were all missing home and feeling a bit xmas deprived so decided to all snuggle up and end the day watching Bad Santa, which was pretty funny!

All in all a fantastic day in Val Thorens! Not xmas but if we weren’t gonna be at home with our families it was def the place to be! J
