Trekking into Spain

We are now half way to Santiago de Compostela and have entered Spain. Yesterday's walk was in steady rain for a good part of the journey, but because we were walking I still felt warm, though quite soaked by rain. The way is dotted with crosses, and mounds of stones placed by the steady stream of pilgrims. We keep meeting the same travellers over and again as we stop at various cafes and are always greeted with the ' Buon Camino', so there is a spirit of cammeradie ( spelling?). Sometimes we talk and joke as we walk and at other times keep the silence and enter the space within. Sometimes I have a sense of the richness that is there.
