Sept 12

Diego picked us up and took us 10-12kms to Los Arcos.We stayed in Casa de la Abuela (thank-you again Helen)Dorm style 6 bunks,all new,they even did our laundry for 50 cents.Supper with 2 Quebecois,Aiden wasn¨t impressed with their politcal views,but the food made up for it.My first paella,and that was the first course.Now you see why I¨m not losing weight.

Sept 13

Left 7:15 arrived Viana 1:00.19.kms,with alot of up and down,Aiden still hasn¨t had to use his knee brace and some parts were very steep.Stopped a couple of times,small breaks seem to make a differance,and the chocolate helped I think.The views were spectacular,vinyards,olive trees everywhere.Grapes taste very sweet.We stopped in Torres del Rio to visit a 12th century Iglesia de Santo Sepulero linked to the Knights Templar.In Viana we stayed in a renovated palace,very cool.Pop 3500.There was a pilgrims mass at 8:00 in a cathedral,priest blesses each pilgrim after the service.Lots of elderly women,hardly any men.
