Finally a quiet night and we both slept in a little. The hotel offered free breakfast of coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, cereal and bread. We we re on the road by 9 am. There was a slight drizzle so we stopped to put on our coats. The first part of the day we biked on the road. A lot of up and down. Completed 20 miles in just over 2 hours. Stopped in Arzua for lunch. From there we hit the path. Although it was much slower pace we enjoyed the tranquility of birds chirping and the smell of pine and eucalyptus trees. In the afternoon. The trail was pretty quiet. Not too many perigrinos. About 3 miles from our destination we stopped for cold chokes. This has become an afternoon ritual along with bbq Fritos. Honestly, neither Mike and I are soda drinkers but something about a cold coke gets us moving. It won't be a habit that comes home. We arrived at Pension la Solairia. Our room is a triple twin with a shared bathroom. Mike is done sleeping in separate beds. It's quite funny we chose not to sleep in alberques because we wanted a private room but most our hotels, although we have a private room the beds are all twins. Went out to pizza for dinner and bought some breakfast items at the market. Tomorrow we arrive in Santiago. I am ready to be home in my own bed.
