I took a brake from traveling. Im in Madrid for a few days and am at an internet cafe... There is so much to see here and the booze is so cheap. I found a place to stay that is very reasonable and might be able to get some work. The city is overflowing with activity and im going to consume it as much as I can of it. The train ride here from Lisbon wasnt too bad and I think I met some interesting characters on board. I played poker for a while with a guy named Niles who smelled like garlic. He told me about all the troubles who had left behind and was looking for a fresh start. He wanted to become a butcher but had no formal training other than working in the meat section at a tesco express. He was a good poker player but I got a couple bucks off him after quite a few late night rounds.
