El Museo Reina Sofia

Hello! this is Morgan. Today we got up a little later than yesterday and went to breakfast at the same place we did yesterday, it was really good. 😊 Then we hung out for a little bit then took the Metro to another museum: El Museo Reina Sofia, which was a lot of fun. There was a lot of contemporary, modern, and other types of art... but the best part was we got to see Picaso's Guernica, which I have studied multiple times in Spanish classes and have always wanted to see. They also had a lot of his sketches that preceded that work, studies of different parts of Guernica. It was so cooool! We were in the museum for a while and then went to a Cafe near by to have lunch.

I had a fried egg, a hot dog, french fries, and these little fried ham and cheese balls.. which were delicious!! So it was a weird very fried meal but it was so good. Eggs and a hot dog go really well together, I would have never tried that! lol. After that we walked through a huge park with a little lake where people took paddle boats out. It was so hot today but the sun felt really good. After walking through the park which was pretty big we took a bus the rest of the way back to our hotel.

We have just been crashing since then, walking so far and in 90 degree weather with direct sunlight all day really seems to take it out of us! Mere and I just woke up from a nap and andy just drifted off, Dad is out hunting for coffee so we can try to wake up. I think we are going to try to go see some Flamenco dancing tonight with dinner. Hopefully we find a good place! Well I will write back later!!! 😊 <3
