Las Ramblas
Market off of Las Ramblas Dish of the day: pizza with muscles, shrimp, and squid at a street cafe. Jody and I are going to combine our creative forces into one blog today. We started out going to Las Ramblas which is a fun shopping district full of life, street performers, and people watching. One street performer appeared to be floating in mid air with ease. I was too scared to try to pull his invisible chair. We then turned off into an open air market just off the ramblas. The markets a must see and great to grab lunch at. We took a gondola ride to parc montujic where the Olympic village is and despite what Jody may say next I still have an uncanny sense of direction.
Josh got us lost or at least disoriented about 4 or5 times today. Thank goodness I can read a map. At the Olympic village, we saw the stadium from the 1992 olympics and got to walk around inside it. We were both feeling a little tired at that point, so we stopped to eat at the little cafe in the stadium. After that, we walked around and saw another stadium called Palau sant jordi which had
Barcelona
The gondola ride we took some cool fountains and statues by it. We then walked over to place espanya and ate at the cafe. After a pizza and a cup of coffee, we went to the Magic Fountain and took in a crAzy fountain show set to crappy 80s music. We were out for about eleven hours today, and we both have some gnarly farmers tans. Time for sleep
