Parc Guell
Antoni Gaudi designed park We had another busy day in barca today. We started off the day by taking the metro to Parc Guell, which is a park on top of a big hill to the north of the main city. Antoni Gaudi, a crazy architect from the turn of the century had a bunch of work in the park. There were two buildings that were supposed to look like gingerbread houses that were really cool. We also got our exercise in as we climbed to the top of the hill and got some great views of the city. After this, we headed back to the metro station and headed to Sagrada Familia. We got caught behind a big group of Germans as we tried to exit the metro. Josh just barely made it off beFore the doors shut. I wasnt so lucky. We managed to have a quick exchange through the train window and I was able to just go to the next stop and come back. Ultimately it was fine, but it was a little nerve racking at the time. We finally got to sagrada familia, and it was awesome. We'll try to put up some pictures at some point, but until then
Sagrada Familia
Inside of the church you should google a picture. We ate lunch in a sandwich shop around the corner, and I had the catalunyan special, a tuna sandwich with peppers and olives. After this, we headed to las ramblas and saw another gaudi building before strolling back along the main drag. For dinner, we had a tomato an mozzerella tapa, some paella, and something that looked like a chocolate covered twinkie for dessert. All in all, it was a good day. I'm sure josh will have plenty to say, but he fell asleep almost as soon as we got to the hotel.
