Odd Spot

It's not officially a holiday until someone gets sunburnt. Thanks to the open-top bus we are now both glowing bright red ... no, we will never learn.

Warm, sunny day. High temperature 28 degrees.

It's A Fake
Impressive fake facades are draped in front of building sites to hide the construction and renovations from public view.

One of the many tree lined avenues that make for calm and picturesque driving.

MNAC
Palau Nacional de Montijuic houses the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. Most impressive building thus far - huge wow factor.

Columbus Monument
No, this isn't Columbus himself... he's perched on top of the monument and beyond our camera's eye.

The clown at the monument was available to take photos of tourists and was helping kids up onto the lions so their parents could take their shots.

Mick's patience was tested on our first queue experience whilst waiting for round 2 of the Turistic bus.

La Sagrada Familia
Antoni Gaudi's masterpiece. Construction began in 1882 and is expected to be completed in 2020. The church will have 18 towers and many tourists will have sore necks from gawking at the spectacle.

Camp Nou - FCB Home Ground
Futbol Club Barcelona!!! The FCB megastore covers 2,000 m2. We missed seeing FCB play Bocca Junior in a friendly after we went to purchase tickets for the game and were told the game was played the previous day. The lesson here ... don't trust everything the shuttle driver tells you - check it on google!!

Laneway Off La Ramble
The laneways are full of interesting little shops, bars and cafes. Lots to explore and easy to get lost.

Hey guys... WOW! You have taken heaps of shots and it has only just began! As I sit here sipping my glass of red whilst reading your blogs, the streets are just as I remember them - 15 years ago!!!
