be thou my vision Hey All,
This is more of a compliation of random things from this week.
This week i had my first week of school. BOOOO. but it wasn´t that horrible, it´s two classes= grammar and transatlantic literature. fun...all in spanish and such. but my teachers are nice so it´s somewhat bearable.
The weather has been amazing. so i´ve been walking around a lot.
i got a new tattoo here haha. it´s pretty cool except the guy almost spelled it wrong haha. it reads "be thou my vision" which is the name of a hymn that i´ve like for the longest time and it´s irish. the artist forgot the h in "thou". I think that i almost had a heart attack haha. Especially since he barely spoke english but anyways. I think it´s pretty cool looking and pretty.
I went to a pueblo and the country this weekend with my host family...of whom i will try to post pictures of. They are pretty nice and are really funny and sarcastic which is perfect for me...as you know. 😊 The trip was a day trip and was super relaxing. Of course, I didn´t understand most of what was being said haha but it was fun anyways. The town only has like 200 people in it... and my host family has a house there, because my host dad grew up there, so they had bikes and the boys and I rode bikes and such.
I´ve been eating pretty good here, although i fear all this meat and red meat is destroying my stomache. it´s a mediterranean diet...which is one of the healthiest in the whole world. It´s quite tasty, interesting enough although. I think they have hte impression that all americans are fat. haha. because i kept asking why they didn´t eat butter and salt and ice cream and such. They have the best chocoleria here called valor, which i´ve eaten three times at. It´s kinda pathetic and fatty of me. Hah.
This week we went to Madrid to see El Prado (second time for me) and the Reina Sofia. Both are museums, the Reina has contempory and modern art although. I didn´t like it that much, except Picasso and Dali. Prado is amazing. I may have talked about it in the previous blog, I can´t remember.
I also went to the castle in Segovia which is like a fifteen minute walk from my house. It´s called Alcazar and it really awesome. As you know it´s like every girls dream to be a princess and have the huge gown and live in a castle....which i was def. thinking about while walking through. I will publish those photos. I got in free with my friend because both of my host parents work there. It´s really neat.
That is one of the things that i have enjoyed most about Segovia and Spain in general, is that a majority of the buildings are very old and the have amazing stories behind them.
Anyways, tonight i am participating in an intercambio= which is an exchange of english and spanish between students here and also with my class. Should be coolio.
Miss you and and thanks for prayers and such.
P.s= EVERYONE HERE SMOKES AND EVERYTHING AND EVERYWHERE SMELLS LIKE SMOKE. it´s kinda funny since they are very health consious....except not haha.
