Yesterday evening I met a number of people at the albergue. Two guys from Taiwan, two from the UK, two girls from Finland and a couple from Canada. Everyone was around 20, which is not very common along the camino, so it was nice for a change not always having to deal with people who are more than double my age.
From Sahagún to Léon was almost exclusively like the picture on the side. Plain straight roads, flanked with trees. I knew that this was what it would be this flat from Castrojeriz to Léon, and I do enjoy it. I have been able to do a couple of more kilometers a day during the flat stages in order to be in no hurry during the later uphill stages.
