Continuing on with the theme of Tenerife mornings we were awake early after having barely any sleep due to the constant lovely snoring tunes that were playing in our room all night! We naturally were excited about breakie and about getting lunch prepared at breakie after already trying our hand at being sneaky yesterday. So we scoped out a more secretive table for stealing purposes./ We all had the same breakie as usual. I enjoyed my bacon and poached egg on toast with a lil pain au chocolat toasted! Then we made filled rolls ad wrapped them all undercover and shoved them into handbags – naughty but oh so practical and money saving!! J
After, we headed back upstairs for the routine sunscreening session and down to the pool. Unfortunately there was another wedding this arvo so we had to go on the other side of the pool again which dad and I actually prefer. More shade for dad and easier to read so the suns not directly in our eyes! We all settled in for some solid reading while i was trying to “side tan” to even up! Not so successful! Unfortunately the strongest sunscreen we could find in
the hotel gift shop (cos we’re getting too lazy to venture out too far!) was spf 10!! So we are layering up all day! We had some amazing people watching today! A very rich, dysfunctional family next to us with a 13ish year old daughter who was saying she didn’t care about personality of boys and she just wanted to be with someone gorgeous. And all boys she knew were just “sooo immature”! it was hilarious! But she was so incredibly rude to her dad I wanted to give her a smack down!!! We enjoyed our packed lil lunch, ordered daiquiris – not strawberry though cos theyv run out till Mon!!! L So pineapple it was! But they were very yummy! More twisters for me in the arvo, where the big black waiter proceeds to tell me he wants to marry me in the wedding happening today cos I am beautiful! Pffft!
We decided to venture further than 50m from the hotel tonight! Whoa watch out!!! So we got in a cab and went to Playa de las Americas to have a wander and get some dinner. I had been recommended a really good restaurant to go to here
but had completely forgotten the name. I tried googling it but no cigar! So we had to flag but when we were walking up the main road we stumbled across what trip advisor had claimed was the best restaurant in las Americas – thai Botanica. So we decided to go there for dinner. And it was worth it! Yummy, cheap, amazing service! Would def recommend it! Dad ordered a g&t and naturally didn’t listen to the waiter when he said are you sure you want a double? TYhey make them much stronger in Tenerife than nz and aus!! Yes yes iv had one before says dad! So the man proceeds to bring out a glass literally ¾ full of gin!! Was pretty funny! So dad was buzzing for a while after that! J
We then did a bit of shopping. I bought another pair of jean shorts which I needed for 18 eur so was stoked and da bought a nike t-shirt which is really nice. My ph has been slowly dying a painful death so I decided to just curiously look at phones and ended up buying one!!! 110eur but I love it! Just a few models up
from mine and white! Much faster and clearer! Good purchase! I then managed to find a 21
st pres for sam which hopefully he likes! Andw e headed back already with mum and I super excited about the no doubt musical night ahead that lay!!
