I have lived in California almost my entire life. Even when I went away for college, I didn't leave the warm embrace of the Golden state. And after college, I came back home to the Bay Area. If I had to do it all over again, I think I would have gone back east or somewhere out of state just to get a different perspective. And I would have definitely spent a year studying abroad. Observation terrace in Castelo de São Jorge

This was around 10:30 in the morning and there weren't many people out

The bridge was modeled after the Golden Gate bridge. In the distance, on the south bank of the Tagus, you can barely make out the Cristo Rei statue. The statue is modeled after the Cristo Redentor statue in Rio de Janeiro.

This statue was near the entrance of the castle

Graffiti and crumbling building near Castelo de Sao Jorge

We stumbled upon this area filled with graffiti and crumbling buildings looking for a way back to Largo das Portas do Sol. Max later found out that the area is called Pátio de Dom Fradique.
