All that's left of the castle are the battlements, towers and a few courtyards.

The castle is so high on the mountain top that we could clearly see this glider going by overhead

After taking what I thought was a shortcut to the road we took up the mountain, we ended up going down an alternate path which led us into this neighborhood

We really weren't sure where we were going, but we just followed a path down.

This is the plaque to the left of the door that says that he lived there when he visited Portugal in 1866

Rather than go down a windy road to get back to the village, we decided to take a short cut through this park

It was after this photo that I lost track of Max. I thought maybe he went ahead of me so I figured I'd catch up with him outside the park. What's funny is that's Max right outside the bathroom to the right of the picture. I guess I didn't see him when I took it.

What a fantastic Presentation
