Hi Everyone-including doggies We are finally in Venice after arriving on a all night train ride-not so much fun!. Venice is spectacular but very expensive so we are only staying 1 night and off to Greece tomorrow-have a 12 hr boat ride to Greece-hope to see lots on that trip. We saw everything we wanted to see in Venice as we arrived very early this morning. Plan to take few days to relax in Greece. Dad will send some pictures. We had a fantastic dinner tonight-dad has sea bass (not for me!) I had spaghetti-and gelatto. Very tired as we did not sleep well on the train-so early to bed-9:00pm and up early to catch the train to the boat. Hope all is well back home-seems a long time away from you all-miss you lots, Hugs ... read more

We also missed the Dolomites and the snow (having not been there for 1,5 years). Therefore we decided to contact Guido and Deborah from the Hotel Al Forte (www.alforte.com) for a free room. We were lucky and started off for some great days in Arabba in the Dolomites. It was nice to see Guido, Deborah and little Davide again and to get to know Maria. We enjoyed the comfort in the Hotel (for us the best in the region), great food and a wonderful sauna and our nice friends. The snow situation was perfect considering that it was just the beginning of the season. All slopes were open. The only problem was: the first days were ... read more
