Today we said goodbye to our Southern Tuscan Villa and headed north planning to visit Siena for a few hours. We reached Siena in good time but the place was just so busy with cars park very where the decision was made to move on to Pontassieve which we arrived at as a very heavy rain passed over. We finally located the town centre as the rain stopped. After a great lunch we head for our Conigliera (small stone building) at il Catellino in Rignano Sull’Arno where we will base ourselves for the next 3 nights. This property is a working olive oil farm we have already had the guided tour of the manufacturing plant and also an oil tasting.
