Day 22

Today Lissa and I our on our own. Laura and Dan have to see the pope. We walked in the rain to the Capitol museum which we have walked by many times. On our walk to the museum we noticed a very strong police presence today, swat helicopters and hundreds of police all the way to the museum. This museum was even more spectacular than the one in Napoli. The amount of scultures was amazing. A good many of them where found in a small building that was found right at the base of capitol hill. They where in shops and stores that where 1500 years old. There where found in the late 1800,s. Inside the museum is the original bronze statue of Romulus and Remas with the she wolf that rumour has mothered them. Also the original bronze of Marcos Aulrileus on his horse which was just redone after 5 years of prep to get it back to visual masterpiece. The museum stands on the ground of an ancient building back 200ad and they have incorporated many of the walls in the museum structure. We spent the better part of 4 hours in the museum and dont think we saw it all. Time for lunch and 10 minutes is our favorite little resturarant BIBO for minnestrone and a pizza and a bottle of wine. Spent the rest of the day wandering thriugh the shops,to the trevi and the spanish steps and then had to gellatto. We watched the sun go down while on the spanish steps, a nice way to see the day wind down. Back to the hptel and out for a late dinner. Whats up tomorrow, who knows
