Travel Tip #1: If you decide to go anywhere, read up on it a little bit. I mean, at least know where you’re going. Being the adventurous exchange students that we are, and desirous to see as much of our host country as possible before we return home, we decided to take advantage of this long Easter weekend and book a trip to Brest. Being the assertive type-A student that I am, I agreed without question (i.e. without asking things like “where is it?” or “what is there to do there?”). Tuesday, August 7, 2007. As you can tell by the writing, Monday was a pretty blah day, with the rain and all. But good food was again had and enjoyed. Today, since we found out our favorite restaurant is closed for “en vacance”, we made rezzers at another that was very good as well. I was entranced with the most wonderful Chicken curtain material on the windows. Kevin was impressed that Johnny Depp had dropped an 800 Euro tip a couple of days earlier. Wendy and I spent the day shopping and had a great time, buying all sorts of small things that could be worked into corners of suitcases. the first time I went abroad by myself, well well well, how to say, I was very exciting though. Since I took French as my another foreign language, and after that, my college offered a study programme for us, then there i was. the airport Charles-de-Gaule is incredbly massive, my teacher told us that we need to be aware otherwise we might get lost there!! haha and we took another flight to Brest which was the west coast of France. Le CIEL is the language centre we studied for a month, to be honest, my francias wasnt that good at that time, however, I joined the dubetant level in a way that I can challange myself more.
