The last week has been full of so many beautiful and very fun experiences on the "gringo trail" in the indigenous lands of the Maya in San Cristobal, Chiapas (Mexico) to Lago de Atitlan, Guatemala and now ending with Antigua, Guatemala. We went to the theatre...

...a show that reenacted how things were during the time of the real Mayans...the actors and dancers appeared to be as pure Maya as possible...very cool.

Too cute...selling their bracelets to the tourists...

A whole street block of food stands with only desserts and sweets!

...beautiful and peaceful, but the saddles were too small and thin...ouch!

...there was too much cool stuff for sale, we couldn´t resist. :)

...it must have been the beginning of the chicken bus ride. :)

The bus station at the Guatemalan border with Mexico...

...bye bye luxury buses in Mexico...hello to the colorful, wild rides of the chicken buses...squished, loud, smelly, fast, and wet from the rain...but so much fun :)

It is so good to hear about your travels, and I'm sure you know how much Laur and I want to be there with you...eating, singing, dancing and laughing and oh, did I mention eating? :) Have a blast...was in your land last week, was in Orange County and San Diego, nice weather and gorgeous warm water (not as amazing as Baracoa waters!) Miss you, have so much fun!
