Southern Iceland was the setting for the 2018 VT Euromeet. Took a Lufthansa flight into Reykjavik and stayed in the Hlemmur Square area. Our first trip to Iceland was 35 years earlier so a free walking tour helped us to get re-acquainted with the city which has changed so much. While based in Reykjavik we took a Golden Circle Tour, a South Coast Tour and Snaefellsnes Peninsula excursion --- all tours encompassed many wonderful examples of the beauty of Iceland. Had an excellent night and great meal at Viking Village in Hafnarfjörður on our last night in Iceland.

Although I have many and varied interests, travel is never far from my thoughts. I love reading and writing about travel. I never travel without a camera (or two) and a travel journal. While some view travel purely as a vacation and time for relaxation, I more often view it as an ongoing education -- a book with chapters I can't wait to read.
