Texas 2019

Flew to Dallas and immediately made the drive south to San Antonio where stayed at Riverwalk hotel for 3 nights. Visited the Alamo, 2 other Spanish Missions, the San Fernando Cathedral and had great TexMex food. From there we drove through the Texas Hill Country to Fredericksburg, once a German settlement. We took the Willow City Loop to see the blooming wildflowers: bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush among others. After a night in Fredericksburg, we drove to Waco where we spent 2 nights with 1 day devoted to the Silos but visited local museums as well. From Waco we drove to Dallas to visit the 6th Floor Museum, Dealey Plaza, and the Holocaust Museum. Bad weather and a cancelled flight kept us in Dallas for an extra night. Lots of driving but a great trip!
