So, everyone must be thinking that I'm a huge drinker over here in Canada. The funny thing is, you couldn't any further wrong. It's just that whenever there is something to write about, it seems to be an event that involves drinking. I'm sure you'd all get bored if I wrote about my nights that we all just sit around watching TV or movies or about going grocery shopping. The truth is, I really only have a drink maybe once a week, so no, I'm not an alcoholic, I am on a working holiday and not a drinking holiday as somebody asked me lol. I'm really only saying this cos, my next paragraph involves me drinking again. My days off. I ended up having to work on one of my days off as Brian wasn't there, ... read more

I know, I know, sorry everyone, I've been a bit slack with putting my mext blog up. Ok, well here it is, enjoy. Ok, well this week was off to a great start. A couple of people from last year, Kyle, Brenden and Vote turned up at res, they came for a visit and were staying with Diane and Rob but came out for a drink at res and to meet all the new staff. Of course, Jenn and Kim were the first to introduce themselves and to start flirting with them. It was good to have a few drinks with everyone though, I drank a bottle of Wolf Blass Yellow Label to myself, very nice. It was gone by 9:30pm lol. I was quite happy. We've had two blackouts this week. The first one happened ... read more

Mmmmm, what will I write about this week??? What have I been doing??? I haven't really done heaps this week. We were quite busy at the weekend as it was a long weekend here so the days went quite fast which was good. On Tuesday, it was a little quieter compared to the weekend. I got to talk to Kelsey a fair bit, we've decided to do a road trip to Whistler in June, we worked out that we had the same days off for once so that will be awesome. And she invited me to go to the movies with her and her sister Ashley to see A Letter To Juliet, Elbie ended up coming too. So after work, they drive us back to res so we could getchanged then took us to their place ... read more

Hey, hey. Well, it's been another week here in the Fraser Canyon and life has been pretty awesome. The night I got back to res, Brian took Alex and I into to Hope to pick up another new girl, Elbie from South Africa, we did our normal thing, doin the shopping, we bumped into Ken and Kathy, so they ended up taking us back to res to save Brian a trip back out there, unfortunatly, that mean't he wasn't coming to our get together. By the time we got back to res, Kelsey and Ashley were there and everyone had already started to drink. It was a good night and rather big for some people. A few people took part in a drinking game, I help Elbie unpack her groceries then let her settle in a ... read more

Hello again I'm working five days a week, so my blogs probably won't be all that interesting for things I do during the day, so sorry bout that lol. I made baked dinner for everyone on Friday night, two legs of pork and shit load of veges. For my first effort for cooking for about eight people, I think I did ok. I knew I was gonna go either not enough of way too much lol. It turned out that I did too much, so looks like we'll be havin pork sandwiches for the next week. I also made dessert, caramel self saucing puddings and ice cream, was really good. Everyone went back for seconds, thirds and forths and then everyone was talking about it the next day which was pretty cool. Ben said that the ... read more

Ok, from now on, while I'm here in Boston Bar, I'm only gonna post one blog a week, for the entire week, I'll write everyday still, but I think if I do one every couple of days, they won't be very long. So, I'll do it this way. Anzac day at home, but here in Canada, they don't have it, so while I was on my lunch break at work, I had myself a little minutes silence, that was about the best I could do. I spent the whole day on the tram today for the first time, I'm getting to know the speech even better, so that's good, soon I won't need my book. I met so many people even a few from Australia. I did get asked by one person, why Hells Gate has ... read more

I know, it's been a fair few days since updating my blog, but I've had a hard time getting internet access. I now have it so I'll be keeping you all updated again. So what I been up to over the last week or so??? I think I left off at being stuck in my hotel room as it was raining. So the next day, it's time to head to Hope. I packed my stuff, went for some breakfast, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns, yum. I went and collected my bags and checked out, climbed into a taxi and I was on my way to the Greyhound Bus Stop. After waiting a good two hours as I was there early, I finally boarded the bus for my two and a half hour bus ride. Note to self, ... read more

So, where did I leave off last time??? That's right, I was packing my things up to go to my hostel. The next morning, I checked out of my nice hotel, left my bags there for the day and went for a wonder around the city. I have been told by Troy to stay away from Hastings and Maine Rds if I want to live, lol. I did honestly take the warning seriously, so you could understand that I was quite shocked when I found myself accidently on these roads on my walk. I wanted to go to Gastown, but took the wrong road. So when I saw these ferel looking skanks walking the street and drunks being kicked out of pubs, I looked at the street sign and realised where I was, freaked out and ... read more

Hi everyone, so it's been 2 days since my last entry, what have I been up too??? Where to start? Yesterday, I did the Hop On, Hop Off tour, only to get down the street and find I had left my camera back in my hotel room. Couldn't believe it. Anyway, continued on with the tour taking everything in, I knew that I'd beable to get photo's later on, my pass was for 2 days afterall. So, I was taken all over Vancouver, heading down Robson St, the main shopping street here then down to BC Place Stadium which is where the football is played, unfortunatly, it was closed as I found out today when I walked for ages trying to find a way inside lol. Anyway, we then headed through China town and Gastown, which ... read more

Ok, well I'm here in Vancouver staying in a very nice hotel on the 27th floor with a nice view of the city straight ahead from me and if I look to my left, I have a view of the mountians which still have some snow on them, so I think I picked a good hotel. So after leaving Dee, Amy and Carly at the airport and after crying yet again, I boarded my plane and sat down between 2 girls, Jaimie, from Kansas and Amanda, from Chicago who was traveling with her husband Josh who is Australian. After about 8 hours one of the air hostess' asked if one of us could swap with an elderly lady as her leg was cramping up and as we had extra leg room, she asked us. So me ... read more
