That is still something I have on my to-do-list, see a lava lake. I love volcanoes and everything volcanic but still after all these years I have not had the chance to see a lava lake. Glad you did though. /Ake

I guess we will have to go back because you've found things we did not. Actually our visit there was a short scuba diving trip and we did little else. Your blog makes for a good guide for this trip. We love all things turtle. Thanks for a great blog.

I really enjoyed reading of your adventures and turtle experiences... it sounds like an ideal place to chill out and be close to nature. I was somewhat sad to read about the legalised gathering and selling of turtle eggs, and while I understand that sometimes conservation efforts need to be unconventional to bring local communities onside, it still made me sad. When we eventually make it to Costa Rica, I will have to reference this blog for details on this area. Thanks for sharing and your photos are fabulous! :)

Hi Sheila and Paul. I love to read your trip blogs. Thanks for including me. The whole family including 4 grand boys stayed for two weeks n a lovely house on the beach in Manuel San Antonio June -Jiuly. We had a great time. Of course with young children we did not do a lot of adventurous things. Zip lining was one which I think is highly overrated I went with the boys and halfway through I asked myself why am I doing this? You are certainly relentless in you traveling and I am very envious of you. Pura Vida, John

Hi John - So glad you have enjoyed our blogs, they are treasured memories for us and we can always look back and find out something that we cannot 'quite' remember! We enjoyed Manuel Antonio too and another blog coming shortly on our time there. Such an amazing park with stunning beaches and so much wildlife to see. Yes we still love to travel and hope to do so for many more years to come - life's too short not to enjoy what you are able to do, I think though we will give the Zipline a miss ... ... ... Corcovado
Hi Paula & Sheila, It´s been almost four years since we travelled together in Zambia and Mozambique. A trip to remember... I enjoyed reading about your adventures in Corcovado. I was there last year visiting the park two days. I stayed on the other side in Drake Bay. A lovely town with easy access to the park by boat. On the downside there were more tourists in the park around the landing area of the boat, but there was so much wildlife to see. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Central America. Edwin

That Long ... ...
Hi Edwin - Great to hear from you and cannot believe its four years ago sine we travelled together and yes indeed it was certainly a trip to remember, particularly in Mozambique! Corcovado was a really interesting park and we were just so grateful that we managed to see an Anteater and all those Scarlet Macaws which we are still seeing now in Tarcoles. We are still heading up the coast towards Optional and enjoying every day. Best Wishes from us both Paul and Sheila

We love to travel and experience different places and particularly like to view and photograph the world's wonderful array of wildlife - and we are so so lucky to still be able to do so although a little slower these days. After retiring in 2010, we have travelled the world covering every continent as older generation nomads - hence our name Silvernomads. We have been really blessed to live out our retirement as we had always dreamed when we worked all those long years.
