Oh my god it’s so boiling hot here in the desert, so hot I slept on the roof of our room one day. We stayed her for 4 days in this huge sandcastle like fort. Rajasthan is a very different place everything is so old and ancient it’s like being in a fairy tale sometimes (apart from all the rubbish and shit everywhere). We made a friend who had a shop opposite our hotel he rented us a turban for our camel safari and all of the locals were highly amused at my magic...this magic invested in is defiantly a winner! We went on a camel safari, the first part of the day was rubbish to be honest, wandering through scrub land in the blistering heat on a camel that is way too wide for comfort. ... read more

Well I’ve finally got myself sort of clean, we have been at the holy festival which celebrates the coming of spring. Basically you get covered head to toe in powder paint, everyone is throwing the powder and water at you, and I got totally multicoloured all over and look like a cyber kid come my little pony moonshine! It was all good fun me and jade managed without knowing it to gatecrash someone’s private holy party, the ladies in their saris were throwing the colourful powder round whilst the guys were busy drenching everyone with jugs of water, lots of great fun however I will be having this cyber tinge for the rest of the week I think as it doesn’t wash out that easily. ... read more

We stayed at Tara's for a few days, Tara lived with Jill in her uni days and now lives at the international school for riding. I loved staying at this place, there were about 100 horses in the stables some were race horses, event horses and riding horses. Tara took me out a few times and it was great to be back in the saddle, the horses were amazing and really well looked after. It was really nice just to chill out too in the hammock and eat some normal food, had a great time here, Tara's mum was visiting and was amused by my magic tricks, and even more amused at the fact I managed to break one of them. Word spread between the maids and before you know it everyone wants to see this ... read more

Spent our time here mainly eating actually, it’s the first place in ages we found that served western food, the homemade chocolates are to diefor! It was quite amusing when we first arrived as we went to the YHA hostel however we were stood outside the food hall and at the back entrance so all we saw was food being hurled out of the back door and loads of rubbish, it wasn't until later we found the actually reception and found the room to be quite nice, we shared with a Canadian girl called Romy that we met on the steam train on the way up to Ooty. The train ride was good however we had to get up so early so unfortunately we all fell asleep half way through, it was great chugging through the ... read more

The bus ride up here was fantastic probably one of the best I’ve been on so far, literally scaling the huge mountains there were fantastic views across the valleys, and thank god we didn't have a lunatic bus driver. After traipsing round for hours looking for some good old western food (as advertised in the lonely planet) we found nothing, so palak pannier again for me (spinach and cheese curry) and painfully hot masala pad pads (popadom's). I got me and jade lost on one of my short cuts on the first night and spent the next day in bed sleeping as felt a bit ill. Jade on the other hand decided to go out and got stuck in some sort of monsoon with her trusty my blobby pack a Mac. We spent the night in ... read more

Ha ha ha I'm in the land of teletubbies, yes that's right rolling hills of tea plantations that look like green spongy carpets you could just dive into. Had a real laugh here met Stevie and Mary who were staying next door and spent a couple of nights chatting about this that and everything else. Went to the tea plantations and visited a damn, echo point and had chance to chat with the ladies that worked in the tea plantations. Was completely drawn in my Stevie and Marys magic tricks that they got from Ooty, will have to visit the magic man!!! ... read more

We found the most beautiful guest house here owned by anub a crazy eccentrick owner. Anub took us to his family village out in the forrest, we walked through, rice paddy fields and farmland to a natural spring where we filled up all the water containers. After we went to one of anubs houses and ate dinner, then went for a short treck through the forest to soak up the quitness and relax. We stayed one night outside of madikeri so we could go trecking, an israili girld ola joined us, the walk was up to the top of some massive hills the view were excellent. After we went to a waterfall and was glad of the cold fresh water to dunp my hot body in. We spent the afternoon trying to charm a rather good looking ... read more

we went to gokarna for a few days and really wished we had gone there for longer. This place is great we stayed in a guest house called gnesh in a little room that was like an outdoor shed, it was rustic but colourful. The vibes here were great, met a girl called bronywin who was from manchester and a great laugh and jeremy that tried to teach me to juggle who we got quite drunk with on our last night. Everyone was really friendly and the beaches were the best ive seen so far. We walked one day to paradice beach which turned into an all day rock climb. We stopped at half moon beach on the way, it was nice because there was no one there to hassle you. Was abit of a surprise ... read more

Stayed in abit of a grot box room again but was cheap 200 rupees so not complaining, spent the day walking rounds the city, went on a pony and cart to the palace and went in to marvell the paintings that covered the inside palace walls. On the way out there were some elephants and their mahoots, i was busy watching them and jade went outside, the only way out was either to walk right to the other end of the pallace or do it indian stylee and climb over the iron gates ignoring the guards protests, i nearly gorotted myself when my bag got stuck over the top of the iron rungs whilst i jumped down. We visited the local fruit and vege market, i loved all the spices and also the bright colours of ... read more

This is goas most idelic beach and so it is, the white sands and blue sea, we got a coco hut on the beach and finally found some fun that was after 10pm. because of the no music thing after 10pm they have set up silent music, what happens is there is an outdoor place next to the sea in a perfect location, there is music untill 10ish and then you put on your wireless headphones on and dance the night away. There is still a dj playing and it was really good music so had a laugh, although if you dont have headphones on it does look abit weird everyone dancing to but no sound. ... read more
